Our BARGAIN BIN is where we list our bath bomb molds that have a little scratch or dent, but they could still be used. If a flaw doesn't bother you and you just want some fun new shapes at a bargain price, you're in the right place! Majorly damaged molds are thrown away. We consider these molds still usable, but imperfect.
MOLD NOTES:
The defective stainless steel sphere molds we have listed currently are dented on the rim or have sharp rims or both. Be aware, the dents may or may not show on your finished bath bomb. Some of them have sharp rims as well. The rims can be smoothed with emory cloth or a file, but they will come to you with sharp rims if they have them. So be careful handling.
The 2 conversation heart molds are 6 cavity Nordicware tray molds with a damaged finish inside one or more cavities. I think they are still useable for bath bombs. The rough cavities could be smoothed with emory cloth. I would not bake in them.
The aluminum mold imperfections are usually a small dent or bend on the body of the mold or rim. Sometimes there are scratches on the mold or a rough spot. We throw away any completely useless damaged molds.
The 3" cube mold is not listed online. It's an aluminum mold that is a 3" cube. There is a little drill hole in the bottom. I would paint tape over it to make bath bombs without that mark on them.
